Skupina Fabrika, Research and Development, d.o.o., has succeeded in the 2nd open call LAS Prlekija (LEADER) with operation Promotion of Investments in Renewable Energy Sources in the area LAS Prlekija, abbreviated PRLEKIJA REDUCES CO2. The total value of the operation is EUR 15,377.75 and 80% of the eligible costs are co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund.
The LAS Prlekija area is among the less developed in terms of the use of renewable energy. Although the situation in this area has been improving in recent years, a large proportion of buildings, especially facilities open to public and multi-dwelling buildings, has fossil fuel heating systems, and the outflow of resources for fossil energy products from the region is weakening the local economy, creates no added value in the region and it has a controversial environmental dimension. Within the framework of MOBILES project (www.projekt-mobiles.net), implemented under the NIP 2011 LAS Prlekija, the municipalities of the LAS Prlekija joined the Eco-Energy Community of LAS Prlekija, whose main goal is to increase the share of RES and local energy self-sufficiency. PRLEKIJA REDUCES CO2 operation is a continuation of RES promotion activities, which were then identified in the community action plan.
The main objective of PRLEKIJA REDUCES CO2 operation is to encourage further investments in RES in the local communities and to contribute to increasing the use of RES in the LAS Prlekija area.
The activities of the operation are primarily aimed at raising awareness and informing and demonstrating the successful transitions to RES in their local environment. The operation aims to ensure that local communities, economic operators and residents from the area receive impartial and direct information from specific RES users from their local environment, and thus encourage them to make further investments in this direction.
