The CoolHeating project promotes the implementation of “small modular renewable district heating and cooling systems” in Southeastern European communities.
The aim of the CoolHeating project is to support the implementation of “small modular renewable district heating and cooling systems” in Southeastern European communities. CoolHeating transfers partners’ know-how from countries with examples of renewable district heating and cooling systems (Austria, Denmark, Germany) to countries where there are fewer cases in this sector (Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Key project activities include techno-economic assessments and measures to stimulate the interest of municipalities and citizens for building district heating and cooling systems, as well as activities to strengthen the capacity to finance and design business models. The result is the initiation of new small renewable district heating and cooling systems in 5 target communities to the investment phase.
